RO: Pentru că la atelierele de croșetat am învățat și exersat tehnica „pătratul bunicii” sau „granny square”, iată și-un scurt tutorial foto. Cum se face un granny square dintr-o culoare și unul unde schimbăm culorile.

Pentru că voi folosi terminologia americană, iată corespondentele în limba română:
– ochiul de lant = chain – ch;
– piciorusul mic = simple crochet – sc;
– piciorusul mare = double crochet – dc;
– piciorusul dublu redus = half double crochet – hdc;
– piciorusul triplu = triple crochet – tr;
– piciorusul orb = slip stitch – sl st ori ss.

EN: I’ve taught a few ladies about crochet techniques and during the last workshop we made a few granny squares. So I thought I would post a tutorial about how to crochet a granny square, to be of more help for others too.
I know there are many, many other ways of making a granny square, this is just one of them.

How to crochet a granny square? / Cum se croseteaza `patratul bunicii`?
Yarn: cotton, schachenmayer catania
hook: 4 mm
1. Ch 4, 2 DC in the last ch from hook, continue working in the same stitch / continuă în același loc: CH 2, 3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC, CH2, 3 DC, CH2, sl st to close the row:
2. CH5, 3 DC in the ch2 space from previous row / lucrezi în ch2 cu care ai încheiat rândul anterior, *ch 1, 3 DC – ch 2 – 3 DC in the corner / în colț * repeat 3 times / repetă de 3 ori. 2 DC in the last corner / în ultimul colț, sl st in 3rd ch from ch 5 / închizi în al 3-lea ochi din ch 5 de la început.
3. Ch 5, 3 DC in the ch2 space from last row, * ch 1, 3 DC, ch 1, 3 DC – ch 2 – 3 DC* repeat 3 times / repetă de 3 ori. In the last corner, make 2 DC, sl st.
How to change color making granny square / cum să schimbi culorile:
Follow the same stitches written above, but always make sure you add your new color when slip stitching.
Urmărește indicațiile de mai sus, dar schimbi culorile înainte de a închide rândul cu slip stitch.
